PETER
PHELPS - Frank
One of Australia's most recognisable
and acclaimed actors, Peter's role as 'The Boss' in the top-rating
TV series Fire was the latest in a long and varied career
in film, theatre and television.
Peter has worked for the Sydney
Theatre Company in Nicholas Nickleby and The Sum of
Us, which premiered at the Wharf Theatre. Other theatre credits
include The Club and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Peter received the 1993 AFI
Best Actor Award for Television Drama for his role in the GP
episode "Exposed". Other TV highlights include
Dirtwater Dynasty, Cowra Breakout, Roafferty's Rules, The
Challenge, The Young Riders (US), Baywatch (US),
Heartbreak High and The Les Darcy Story. He is soon
to be seen in The Feds, and the mini-series Blue Murder
for the ABC.
Peter has appeared in over
twelve feature films, starring in The Lighthorsemen, Starlight
Hotel (NZ), Maya (Italy), October 32nd (US),
Playing Beattie Bow, Rough Diamonds and Blackwater
Trial. In 1994 Peter released his first book entitled "Sex
Without Madonna", a wry account of his four years in Hollywood.
It has been on numerous best-seller lists around the country.

DEE SMART
- Madaline
Dee completed a Diploma in
Dance at the Victorian College of Arts, and was a graduate of
the Ensemble Acting Studios in 1990. She spent the next two years
playing Lucinda in the TV series Home and Away.
Dee made her stage debut in
1993, starring in The Promise at the Marian St Theatre,
directed by Joseph Uchitel. Other theatre credits include The
Heartbreak Kid at Ensemble Theatre, Desire at the
Crossroads Theatre and Snow White in theatres across the
UK.
Recently Dee has completed
four feature films, all due for release later this year. She
played the raunchy Charlie opposite Colin Friels and Paul Mercurio
in Back of Beyond, the crazed Kyra in Turning April,
and starred with Judd Nelson in Blackwater Trial. She
also played the lead in a short film which recently won the Dendy
Short Film Award at the Sydney Film Festival. So...
How about a Stephen Sewell
play, directed by Joseph Uchitel, opposite Peter Phelps at the
Wharf? "You'd have to be insane to say yes, but more
insane to refuse. Thanks for the opportunity."

JULIAN
LEATHER - Porter
Julian graduated from the West
Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 1992. He has previously
worked with Joseph Uchitel and Dee Smart in 1993, when he starred
in The Promise at Marian Street Theatre. He recently worked
with Diane Cilento in Galatea's Hands, which played at
the Athenaeum Theatre in Melbourne, and toured Queensland and
Papua New Guinea. Other theatre credits include Boy on the
Roof for the Stables Theatre, and Reedy River at the
New Theatre.
Julian has just completed filing
The Butterfly Effect for Scotland Island Pictures. Other
films include Horse and Carriage for the AFTRS, and Gone
But Not Forgotten for the NSW Department of Education. Julian
has appeared in the television shows Rafferty's Rules, Home
and Away, Shadow of the Cobra, Denton, Karaoke Kamikaze, Crimestoppers
and Friends.
